What is your role at Dropworks and what do you do?
I'm the Technical Services Manager! My primary role is to ensure Dropworks provides a high-quality customer care experience. Currently, this is through the development of our application support and technical service teams. However, at Dropworks you can wear many hats, so, I'm also helping out with manufacturing line design and will provide instrument design feedback to improve serviceability and manufacturability.
Why did you decide to work at Dropworks?
There are two reasons I decided to join Dropworks. First, I wanted to experience a startup environment and wear multiple hats with the ability to create something from scratch. The second and most important reason is that the leadership is 100% committed to creating a wonderful customer experience, exemplified by establishing our customer-focused company culture and by allocating tangible resources to develop the systems and processes that enable a truly great customer experience.
What do you find to be the best part about working with Dropworks?
I enjoy working here because the people are wonderful, and the product is inspiring. Regardless of my professional aspirations to work for a start-up, I believe the most important element that can impact work satisfaction is the people you work with on a daily basis.
What is one thing your colleagues would be surprised to know about you?
My colleagues may not know that I used to be a professional massage therapist back in the day and have kept up the practice on friends and family. When people have aches and pains, they'll come to me to figure out what exercises, stretches, or work they should get done to make it go away....or if they need to see a doctor!
